Dr Sebastian Brown
Dr. Sebastian James Brown is a comprehensive general ophthalmologist with a special focus on cataract surgery, pterygium surgery, glaucoma, and medical retina conditions.
He began his academic journey with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science before completing his medical degree at Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney, graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (First Class Honours). During his medical studies, he was awarded The Royal North Shore Medal for academic excellence.
Dr. Brown undertook specialist ophthalmology training through the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO), gaining extensive experience across the Sydney Eye Hospital network and additional hospital settings in New South Wales, Darwin, and Hobart. This comprehensive training provided him with broad exposure to all aspects of ophthalmology.
Following his specialist training, Dr. Brown completed a general fellowship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Liverpool Hospital in Sydney. He currently holds public appointments at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital and practices in Fairfield, Campbelltown, Narellan, Nepean and Bondi Junction. His clinical expertise encompasses cataract surgery and general ophthalmology, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality and patient-centric care.
